Kiki Sophia, (born Kiriaki Sophia Bozas, in Yonkers, NY on June 12th 1982), began her music career at the age of 4 when she joined a prestigious piano school in NY. After moving to Poughkeepsie, NY in 1989, she discontinued her classical training and at the age of 10 began writing music on her own. During her early high school years she started singing to her own ballads and composing brilliantly profound lyrics that often brought her friends and family to tears. What makes her music so compelling is her innate ability to express universal emotions and reveal hidden qualities within. Her music is a reflective surface which illuminates and communicates directly to the human heart. In every song there's an unexpected turn that takes the listener on a roller-coaster ride of emotion.
Her first performances were at the Cubby Hole, a small coffee shop in her hometown, which was packed so tightly that many people were forced to stand outside to watch. Her music has been compared to Fiona Apple, Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos and Bob Dylan. Kiki Sophia's work will stand the test of time for all who appreciate the combination of thought-provoking lyrics with sophisticated sound. |
