	I sympathize about the torn meniscus. I had to have mine scoped 5 years ago and it hurt like hell. Hang on to those pills...you'll need them. If you ask for more you may get treated like a dope fiend...i hate it when those fuckin doctors act like that.

Vicodin and Lortab are NAME BRAND for the same thing-acetomenophen and Hydrocodone Bitartrate. So they are safe from impurities just because of that. Any generic of this should be treated with the same suspicion as any other generic.

It's unfortunate that at a time when health care costs are rising that generics that save a lot of money can't be trusted.

And by the way, for anyone who has a habit and eats Vicodin--i'm not judging and don't personally care but large amounts of acetomenophen are liver-toxic. Be warned.
