thinking about going to cosmetology school

So as im thinking about looking for a new career, i realized i dont want to be stuck at a desk in a stuffy office sitting all day! I love talking to people standing on my feet and being able to express myslef through the way i look! So ive been at the salon now for a year working the desk and ive always enjoyed doing peoples hair, so why not look into hair school? Im going to talk to protege academy and possible start in the fall! However my dad doesnt think this is a good idea since i went to regualr college for five year,, he feels that would be a waste of time. But its my life and i know what i would enjoy doing! Why should i be stuck in a job i dont like the rest of my life. With the way the economy is anyways, i should have a backup plan in a different field of work!
