Yes, Lempicka was an artist who enjoyed an intimate relationship with her subjects. It gets better folks. She was actually a good painter, a hawt chiccy and her subjects were sexy socialites.

Personally, I am very appreciative of her work. She didn't slice a cow into thin strips and make us think it was cool. She also didn't transport her filthy messy room (a la Emin) and pretend it was art - tip: that's not art. It's just living like a tramp, Trace.

Anyway. She's one of my idols, so to speak. i thought I'd share. They say it's next to caring.

Thanks for the link, GreenStJames!  Lempicka has a unique style, I can see why you like her.  Kudos to her also for living a life less ordinary.

Never have heard of her, what style is she modern? She sounds interesting. ANd i would love to hear how someone could fight something as big as nazi control with a paintbrush. i would love to see some of her pieces.
