Even before Rouge Wave took the stage and delivered the goods, the Fillmore was treated to an opening performance from San Diego’s Grand Ole Party. Wholly Fuck. What a great band. Singer-drummer Kristin Gundred belted out much inde-soul on her way to becoming a classic front woman. This happy fan hasn’t hollered that loud or that often in forever. I actually shouted “good for you” from my perch in the balcony.
