for starters:8 1/2 (Fellini), Fargo (Cohen bros), Un Chien Andalou (Buñuel + Dali), Bridges of Madison County (Clint Eastwood), Big (Penny Marshall), Flight of the Navigator (Randal Kleiser), Memoirs of a Geisha (Rob Marshall), Catch Me if You Can (Spielberg), etc etc etc

thank you so much for remembering Flight of the Navigator.  i wish i was watching that right now...

here are some more favs...  being john malcovich, adaptation, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, dude where's my car,  romeo and juliet, the original batman and so many more!

Anything by the Coen brothers, starting with The Big Lebowski and Raising Arizona. Also, Caddyshack, Slap Shot, Animal House. I think Croupier is pretty spectacular.

LOTR all time favorite, No Country For Old Men, Donnie Darko, Into The Wild... Kill Bill Volume 1 and 2.... The Simpsons many more but thats from the top of my head.
