OK. So this isnt exactly following the rules of overhearing something on a smoking patio(which is a brilliant topic idea BTW) but I WOULD like to give a big booo to the El Rey and their poor excuse of a smoking patio. Upon recent visit my sis and I were asked questions by authoritative staff such as "What?! Did you come here to smoke?..I SAID did you come here to smoke?!?" Um...I..well...did I come to the concert to smoke...no...did I come to the smoking patio to smoke...umm...yeah. Then we were told there was NO sitting while we were smoking. No sitting folks. I encourage smokers everywhere to boycott.

Definitely down with the boycott... But Man oh man, by far the most unforgiving smoke patio has to be Chronic Catina in Newport... For Pete sakes the damn bar is already out doors... Do those that smoke have to give you that dirty look as if they didnt' know that it was a smoking bar...? What the hell people.... I think non-smokers should just all wear gas masks when they are anywhere within 100 feet of smokers. Sound ridiculous? Yeah, it is, just as ridiculous as asking somebody to go walk 100 feet away to smoke their cigarette. The way I see it is that there are just as many smokers as non-smokers. So why do non-smokers get to tell smokers they can't smoke? That's like us asking them to become smokers. Why do smokers have to go somewhere else to smoke. How about this, I'll light up my cigarette wherever the hell I want to and if that bothers you, then you walk away. K, thanks. --------------------------------------------------------------
