the literary legend, kurt vonnegut jr., who i affectionately refer to as my "uncle kurt" even though he is not related to me, has recently passed away. one of my favorite quotes of his goes like this:

"We are who we pretend to be, so we must be careful what we pretend to be."

I bought my local bookstore's last copy of Vonnegut's Man Without A Country just a couple days before his death.  :( sad but tru.  BUT he is immortalized through his work, and people keeping his ideas alive :)
