i like graffiti if it isn't about marking gang lines and more about creating urban art to liven up a city, or spreading some type of philosophical/cutural/political/religious/economic viewpoint. people like banksy, miss van, and TPA are graffiti artists whose work does the public a service - as opposed to those who go tagging to mark gang territories.

here's a piece i saw in france, near sacre-coeur:

I think that graffitte gets a bad name in my country. I know that property is damaged during this arts thrown on city walls, private and public. But i find it beautiful to look at, even though i have no way of interpreting its hidden meanings. As a skater i have graffittied pools and reserviors. it is fun to do, and a means of expression. I love graffittee even if it costs me as a taxpayer money. Sometimes, there is no other way to get a message out. For me, i have seen graffittee that is loving in nature. even with all the taggers in my area, i haven't seen crime increase as they preach on the television. graffittee up, cops down. One for us.
