I am a kid just like any other kid. I play the guitar and howl at the tippy-top of my lungs. I am a musical nincompoop. I compose songs in my head all day long, just like Mozart. Only Mozart was an artist. I am a... well, I'm just a dordopheck (a word I coined when I was 7. it means the worst thing in the world that you can't possibly imagine because it's just too terrible for your imagination to even begin to imagine).
Seriously though, I'm an aspiring composer and singer/songwriter who browbeats himself all the time to keep his ego in check and avoid the pitfalls of pretentiousness that ensnare so many other artists in the indie music business. Thus, I distance myself from them and embrace my own skewerpop ventures. I take a little bit of punk, pepper it with some new wave & electronica, further spice it up with some jazz & funk, add some metal for texture, then water it all down with lo-fi folk sensibilities, and voila!! You have skewerpop.
